Am I allowed to create a custom pet with colors similar to a pastel sorako or from one of the magical menagerie pets?

@dawnrunners If you own the custom baby pet, yes you may make an adult version of it. However, you may not do so with others' custom baby pets. As for the pets from the magical menagerie (or any other baby shop pet)... Those are fair game for anyone to use as inspiration, but note that 1) we may make adult shop pets of them at some point and 2) other users are free to do so as well so a custom design may not remain totally unique.

Sprinkles (m) - my Rainbow Kirin's parent 
It didn't even occur to me that this could ever be an issue, and neither did it to the artist (at least I didn't read anything about that).
(I would totally be okay with others having a Rainbow Kirin, too.)
