Welcome, Faenarians, to our monthly avatar contest!

We've decided to call the contest FAD, but we hope it becomes much more than that! It may change a bit from month to month (or maybe sooner, who knows what interest we may get) just like fads do, but hey, it's boring being the same all the time, right? Anyway, I hope this is something you all will enjoy just like we will seeing all your creativity.

• Follow all TOS and site rules.
• Submit avatar designs using our Fae Avatars (for more detail on the FA, read the FAQ)
• Please, make a new post if you add more entries and I have updated, I don't want to miss any entries.
• You can only join from your main account, no mules or ninjas.
• There is a maximum of 5 avatar entries per person!
• No CYO items (custom items you made or were made for you by a site artist), please.
• Entries will be accepted from now until June 27th @ 5:00PM FaeTime. (that's the time on the clock in the bar at the top).
• Winner will be announced on July 1st!
• Have fun!


• You do not need to own the items to join, just use the Market dressing system.
^{We do know, however, that race items don't work properly in this system and will not count against you if that is something you use.}
• Please, host your images on postimages.org or another site that allows you to post an image on another site.
• Staff, and the previous winner will be judging this avatar contest.
• If you win, you can not participate in the following month's contest.


First place gets:
• 25,000 WS.
• 10 DS.
• Your choice of Essence. - Floral Essence, Butterfly Essence, Winter Essence, Fairytale Essence, or Vintage Essence.
• The opportunity to judge the following contest along with staff.
• Have their winning avatar placed on the main page until the following month.

Participants get:
• 2,000 WS.

IF we get enough interest, we'll give a runner up prize... and maybe more!

I pinged everyone that's joined a previous FAD contest (and didn't win first last month), but if you'd rather not be pinged, please, let me know!

I'm trying to recall if you allow people to re-enter past entries as long as they didn't win 1st place...Could you clarify for me if that was true or if it was for 1-3rd place? I think a previous contest someone was concerned about it too and you answered but I don't remember the reply.

I was actually talking about past winning entries, not just the month before, but won period. Thank you though for the reply Example: I win second or third place in a previous contest then add that entry for this new contest to see if I win first. Would that be allowed or since that particular entry already placed and got a prize, would it be denied even if it didn't win first?

I think if it's won, even if it's not first place, it shouldn't be re-submitted, however, it's not just up to me so I'll ask the other staff and see what we decide! ^^

Can we re-enter any designs we did for earlier contests if they didn't win? Or do we need to do a completely new one that hasn't been entered at all?

I don't see why not? As long as it's not won before and you don't enter more than 5, you should be good.

So I said as long as it hadn't won.. so still doesn't quite answer the question.

So seems the census of staff agrees with what I said at first: if it has placed at all (1-10 doesn't matter) it CAN NOT re-enter. It CAN re-enter if it did not place.

Okay, thank you! So, for example. I won second place with one avatar last contest but my other two did not place 1-3. I would NOT be able to add the 2nd place one but I am able to re-enter the other two.

I would like to enter this avatar again then please!
