I'm working this morning, but we're going to make valentines as a family this afternoon! My LO loves any kind of craft where she can use glue and little scissors, so I'm sure it'll be a blast. Probably going to make a nice dinner too. It's just a nice day to go the extra mile for the loved one's

I walked out my door today to a box stuffed so full it was bursting open. My hubby sent me a teddy bear that is literally bigger than my 11 yo son! (He ordered it on Amazon and the vacuum seal had come undone 🤣 The box could no longer hold it!

For every significant separation we've had he's gotten me a teddy bear. The tradition started with our first Valentine's day after we were married, Feb 2006. (We were married in Oct of 2005.) The military sent him to Arizona and I had to stay and finish training in California. That was a long 5 months, but it taught us a lot about how to operate as a married couple over long distances and separations. I didn't realize how important that lesson would be, but here we are 15 years later separated for V-day. And I've gotten one massive bear to add to my mini bear 🐻 collection. 🥰

That's a beautiful story and tradition! Being apart is definitely hard. I'm glad you two have managed to figure out how to make it work!

Hubby and I ended up getting Chinese and Andy's frozen custard yesterday! It was very good. Though not as good as sushi, but when we called in for sushi they were out of sushi!
