Twilight falls as you walk through the trees, their shadows reaching for the lavender sky. It's peaceful, the air cool and crisp as you walk. Still, something is odd. The sky is darkening above you and yet there is light still illuminating the trees. The source is revealed as the forest thins, the trunks making way for a brilliantly lit house. Or is it a house? Two stories tall, set in the middle of a flourishing garden, and unmistakably orange, this dwelling looks more like a Jack o lantern than any house you've ever seen. The carved windows more than slightly resemble carved features, and you think you see figures moving within the giant squash. Is it real, or simply a clever mimicry? Curious, you approach it, stepping between tangled vines and massive leaves. And if you come away with a fistful of candy? No one will be able to argue that their lights are certainly ON!
"Those shadows in the windows are a bit frightening aren't they!" a voice from behind you says. You jump a little as you turn to see a young woman standing just behind you. You nod your head and step a little closer to the door and knock. The woman smiles and says "Welcome to my home! I didn't mean to startle you, but I just needed a break from all of my young pets. Would you like to take one home with you? It would make me so happy... and of course, them too!

Fog cloaks the street around you, obscuring everything save for your immediate surroundings. A ghostly shape glides towards you, glowing bright white in the moonlit fog, and you take a nervous step back. Bright eyes a shade of red that is closer to wine than blood stare you down through the fog as the figure pauses a few feet from you. Watching. Weighing.
She has no mouth, you realize.
White hair floats in translucent tendrils around her face, a halo of glittering red gems drifting lazily around her head.

As you exit the house, a strange person in what looks to be a bed sheet floats by making low moaning noises. They seem to be in a bit of a daze. They stop suddenly and slowly turn your way, staring at you with large black eyes. They simply stare at you for a long while....and uncomfortably long while...A tumbleweed even rolls by as the staring continues.
Suddenly, the sheet person turns and begins floating back in the direction it was heading before they slowly fade away. Was it really a person in a sheet?! Something tells you to check your bags to make sure everything is still there. Some of you may have found something more...
