There have been a great many surprises on this path. Odd discoveries in every corner. The strange is expected, and yet you still do a double take at this next bend in your path. Three ramshackle cottages, not an unusual sight. Their novelty lays in the fact that they are stacked one on top of the other, held up with boards, clever masonry, and no doubt a fair amount of magic. Or is it the spiderwebs?
There are certainly plenty of those. From the size of handkerchiefs to intricate tapestries of silk, industrious spiders have decorated every crevice of this creaking structure. It would be easy to think it had been abandoned long ago, if not for the lights and sounds coming from inside. A party, perhaps? You hear music and smell delicious things, and for all the eerie exterior, still find yourself tempted to knock.
As you knock on this door, a young woman in a colorful outfit answers the door. "Why hello! I'm so sorry this place is such a mess, I've been working very hard on some gifts for all of you! Would you like to try something on?"

While your orders are being filled, you notice someone, or something, moving around the back room while wearing a sheet. Its large black eyes stay focused as it floats to and fro, carrying boxes and moving things around the shelves. As if it could feel you staring, it stops and looks at everyone gathered in the room. Without warning, The book it had been carrying falls to the floor with a loud thud and it "runs" from the house screeching "OOOooooOOOoooOOoooOOOOoooo!!!!!" and waving what you could only assume are its arms around. You all stare as it disappears upon exiting the door.
Once you get your treats and are exiting the house, you could swear that you feel something fall and hit you on the head. You look up to see the sheeted person peering at you from the highest roof. It gives a quick "Oo!" before it disappears. You reach up to check your head. Hopefully, it was just your imagination...

~The front door opens with barely a sound, surprising with how the house is set up. In enters the same colorfully dressed woman you'd met before, who huffs in exasperation and brushes what looks like ashes off her skirt, a huge cloud forming in the air and making her sneeze. Apparently she'd managed to disappear for a while without you noticing. A black shadow bolts past her, then rubs up against each of the visitors before coming to a standstill, revealing a black cat. It stretches out on the floor, ignoring the fact it's right in the middle of everyone's path...or perhaps that was on purpose.~
Sorry everyone, one of my phoenixes tried setting my garden on fire and I was a tad bit late with my return! I think he was jealous of all the shiny new things we're giving out and wanted attention. Thankfully there were only a few burned bushes and the spiders that live there, who help me weave cloth, were unharmed. Bad Ares!
~Through the open door, a fiery comet darts past in the sky and you can hear a musical cry that almost sounds like laughter. The comet looms closer until it takes shape into a flaming bird which then lands on a nearby tree branch, regarding everyone with a critical eye.~
Alrighty then, let's hand out a few more of these wonderful items. Thank you zee for keeping house while I was away!
