Welcome, Faenarians, to our monthly avatar contest!

We've decided to call the contest FAD, but we hope it becomes much more than that! It may change a bit from month to month (or maybe sooner, who knows what interest we may get) just like fads do, but hey, it's boring being the same all the time, right? Anyway, I hope this is something you all will enjoy just like we will seeing all your creativity.

• Follow all TOS and site rules.
• Submit avatar designs using our Fae Avatars (for more detail on the FA, read the FAQ)
• Please, make a new post if you add more entries and I have updated, I don't want to miss any entries.
• You can only join from your main account, no mules or ninjas.
• There is a maximum of 3 avatar entries per person!
• No CYO items (custom items you made or were made for you by a site artist), please.
• Preview only items are allowed, as everyone can use the Market system to use those.
• Entries will be accepted from now until May 28th @ 8:00PM FaeTime. (that's the time on the clock in the bar at the top).
• Winner will be announced on June 1st!
• Have fun!


• You do not need to own the items to join, just use the Market dressing system.
• Please, host your images on postimages.org or another site that allows you to post an image on another site.
• Staff, and the previous winner will be judging this avatar contest.
• If you win first place, you can not participate in the following month's contest.
• Avatars can be entered from previous rounds if they did not place at all.


First place gets:
• 30,000 WS.
• 10 DS.
• Your choice of one of the following: Floral Essence, Butterfly Essence, Winter Essence, Fairytale Essence, Vintage Essence, Ominous Token, Fossilized Relic, or Primordial Relic.
• The opportunity to judge the following contest along with staff.
• Have their winning avatar placed on the main page until the following month.

Participants get:
• 5,000 WS.

If there are enough entries for more places....

Second place gets:
• 15,000 WS
• 1 DS

Third places gets:
• 10,000 WS

and maybe more!

I gotta tell you a story! You know, the strangest thing happened on my way to work, and you won't believe it!
Some random rowdy passed in a hurry and pushed me aside, and I stumbled right into a construction site of some sort? Whatever it was, it had one of those vats with ooze in it, and of course I fell right into it!
Turns out it must have been one of those gene-mutating oozes, you know, the one that glue a random mask to your face and make animal body parts grow as if they were on sale or something. For whatever reason, I'm now also able to wield the Magical Amora Lolli of Utter Silliness (MALUS for short), though I have no clue what that is. Gotta read up on that first - don't want to accidentally hex someone.
Someone else, I mean, besides that poor kid that's now a rat that I can't seem to shake off. Guess I'm now responsible for it. Oh well.

Welcome to the reefs around the Jade Islands where the strangest creatures swim around the crystal corals! Observe large butterjellies, brightly coloured nudibranchs (Their random-looking extensions are very toxic! You need thick scales to survive their touch!), fluffy blue featherfish, tiny little pebblefish and many more! Wanna join me on my exploration underwind?

That's indeed the Faenarian Butterjelly, lat. medusa butyra! Its tentacles are just too thin to see at this distance.

Gosh, I should have listened to my mother when she warned me about this misogynistic rubbish that the storyteller brings every weekend ...
But I'm one of those beautiful but poor maidens from, like, half of all the fairytales, you know? I mean, that prince who passed by some what felt like eternity ago smiled at me! I'm almost sure he smiled at noone else that way ... or at least not at any other girl ...
Well, and then we met behind the tavern and we had a short chat and a long kiss and so on ... I fell in love! Can you believe how heartbroken I was to find myself left behind the next day?
It must have been an accident. Surely, his court mage had made him forget about me!
So I followed him as fast as I could! I even asked the Witch of the Plains for help, but she just laughed at me, called me foolish and cast a dreadful curse upon me so that I would never be "a man's plaything", whatever that is supposed to mean.
I guess now I'll have to find my prince and seduce him, somehow? To get True Love's Kiss from him to break the curse, that's how it works, doesn't it?
I can only hope I find that castle before I'm grey and old ...

Oh no! The curse is transforming me again! My beautiful face! Not my lips! I need those!
