Hey Orgins! Guess who's back with another event, this time as my first time on staff?

We're back with our first On-Site event this year, the Spring Jubilee! This is a celebration for Springtime having finally arrived here on Origins! With that, we have a little event set up for everyone!

For our Spring Jubilee, we're doing a raffle that's 100% free with great prizes! Everyone who posts and shares some favorite springtime memories and activities will receive a Jubilee Scratch Card!



Everyone who enters will get one, and once scratched off, will show icons. If three match, then that's the prize you get!

The prizes include:

3 Amber Blossoms - 50K Amber Blossoms
3 Jade Blossoms - 10 Jade Blossoms
3 Gowns - The grand prize! A Jubilee Vineyard Gown! This gown was specially designed for this event, and contains patterns never released in the marketplace! It's making its marketplace debut later, but winners will get one early and FREE!

My family doesn't usually do much, but when I was little, we went to visit family. And they had an Easter egg Hunt. Little me was thrilled because I found the golden egg with money in it! Was only about $5-$10(maybe up to $20, but its been years and I don't remember), but I kept hoping to go back and lord it over my sibling and cousins. xD

dont really have a lot of things i do or celebrate much, my family was never big on any of it either. honestly though the things i love about spring are the flowers and the rain... love playing in the rain and just sitting on the back porch watching it fall. here in Portland its a lot grayer than im used too but its still pretty nice especially when its warm.

Oh! This sounds like lots of fun, I have some memories to recall! It’ll also give my antisocial butt an excuse to post in the forums lol

I don’t think our family does too much on Easter, but there was this one time where we went fishing! We used worms and shrimp as bait, I didn’t end up catching anything and I wasn’t the one fishing but being there checking and messing with the bait was entertaining in its own way. I filled up on lots of pan dulce and Mexican sweets as well as sat in the trailer playing Pokémon red. It was pretty fun! I think I hid while everyone was cracking cascarones though LOL but that didn’t stop me from getting pelted with confetti in the end took a while to get it all out of my hair

We always do a bit of easter decoration, the most important bit being the two easter "eggs" (that are shaped as bunnies) that our grandfather brought my brother and me from France when we were little The season certainly also requires some good Agatha Christie whodunit action! Other than that though, I'm afraid the official start of spring is marked by a good deal of grumbling from me about it actually still being winter, when I am sick and tired of it. I'd looove me some actual spring now!

Oh yeah, we've had plenty of snowy weather lately too. The whole of April tends to be pretty dismal, so if mother nature decides to stick to the usual schedule I won't get any proper spring feeling for a good while yet. Makes it feel all the better when it finally does arrive though! That first day I can leave the house in a lighter jacket, and walk along on bare ground, that feels pretty fantastic!

Hmm, spring...my family never really did much for spring, but I do remember going out often to a little hill near my house with my sister and friends. There were always tiny strawberries growing there and we'd all hang out around the bushes and mess around. Me and my sister were pretty gullible so they'd always play pranks on us or tell us things like "someone was murdered and buried here, I swear it's true" or "werewolves are real, I saw one before" or something like that >.>

Spring memories all circle around Easter for me, we always had something about hidden nests with chocolate eggs and easter bunnies. Once my parents took a long walk with my sister and me and to our suprise we found chocolate eggs along the way all the time, the Easter Bunny was that as we were told. We collected the eggs and gave it to my mom to carry them. All the way we found eggs, it just never ended, so much fun! As we were kids we did not realize that the amount my mom was holding for us did not really get as huge as it should have been.

Years later that was still a story how my father just hid all the eggs again that we had collected and we had no idea

My best spring memories are from the time I was a child.

From time to time, my whole family used to reunite for a week-end at my grandparents' house, which was a farm. At spring, we usually went for a long walk in the countryside, and my uncle would take photos of me and my cousins with big flowers in the background. Sometimes, we tried to hide ourselves behind a tree just to see if someone would notice, picked up flowers or were running after one of us, trying to catch a specific cousin.
After coming back at the house, eating a nice cake and drinking, we would return to our outdoors games: playing in the hay, exploring the barn and its extraordinary collection of old objects from another time, feeding the bunnies, and even trying to climb into our older cousins' tree house... and failed!

I wasn't always glad to wake up early in the morning to get there, but I never regreted doing so after spending such great moments with my family. And how many tiny adventures I've lived there!

Easter has always been a time when the family gets together. Lately, we've been easter egg hunting and having Easter dinner at my sister's house with her husband and her son. I think this makes the third year we've gone to her house. We got cars to go into the eggs this year instead of candy. My nephew is not a candy fan, as we've learned from him being disappointed when he opens the eggs, lol.

I have a good memory for this spring. While life has been rough for me, I think it is sweet my Dad bought me, a grown adult, a bunch of Easter candies. I really love chocolate and all the pastel colors. And I feel grateful for my partner and my Dad right now. Spring is for new opportunities and fresh starts. I am hopeful things will get better soon. Even if they dont, I have piles of discount chocolates and candies and will eat my sorrow away

I don't really have many Spring memories, plenty of summer! There was this one time I visited my dad in Colorado when he lived there and we celebrated Easter with his friends by doing an Easter egg hunt and dinner afterwards. I quickly found out some had money in them and shook the eggs before I picked them up since the quarters in there would clink together. My dad thought that was hilarious. I had also been collecting megabloks dragon eggs at that time and in my Easter basket I found the last one I needed along with various candy and novelties. I loved that year.
