@trystan , LOL! I don't even like dragons, but I have a lot of fun with my dragons on 'Flight Rising'. I can dress them up so much! And they're easy to feed. (yeah, basically, I like them because they're dolls)

If I've said it already, please forgive me, because I've forgotten and I'm not nagging, but if you ever feel like you could cope with making a custom crochet or whatever doll, I'd buy one that looks like UtterlyWeird, my avatar character. Not her centaur form. A humanoid one.

All the avis here are Weird in different outfits. She's a shape shifter. I can make one that's only wearing a small outfit, so you can see her tattoos and stuff. And I'll see if I can remember to show you how she looks on Gaia and Trisphee, too. The one constant with her is the lilac skin, goldy green eyes, dark green lips and tattoos, and teal hair that's usually done up in a crown braid, but that hairdo's not available here.

Right now I'm utterly exhausted from button jointing a doll's arms. I messed up SO many times.

how's this - between all the avi sites you have, make one that you'd like me to take a look at, and we'll go from there. i'm finishing up a blanket for my nephew, and then there's a few other things i want to get to, but i can always take a look at Weird in the meantime

well.... considering my dolls don't usually have noses, mouths or ears... eep! (the link takes you to most of the dolls i have made). i used to embroider a mouth, but i really didn't like the way it looked. also my embroidery leaves quite a bit to be desired!

Ahhh. Easiest mouth embroider = A longish loose stitch, and then a tiny stitch at the bottom of it to make a V shape. I've just learned that from my cactus amigrumi kit. *fails at embroidering too, which is why I'm still surprised that the fabric doll has a nicely embroidered nose now*

But I like the simple face look too. If you don't feel like trying a mouth and some tatts, could you make a doll with pale yellow skin, green eyes, pastel multicolour (not rainbow, just more than one colour in it) hair, and a dress as close to 'Tangled' Rapunzel's as you can? *likes that dress* And for her hair, could you shape it like she's got a part and some invisible braids, and then make her looooong braids and sew them on so they can be thinner than they would be if you just tied her hair at the sides and braided it? And give her underpants?

Oh good. Oh, and if you find a pale yellow type yarn with other colours in it... dolls with patches or spots on their skin are fun.

it might be a little bit before i get to look, i have a few other things in the hopper right now

@trystan , I didn't know! And it's not a usual temperature for here. The weather site says it's actually getting colder in the wind chills than -40C, and one friend at church on Saturday said they had -46C at their farm.

...Ugh, and I'm having hot flashes. I think the probiotic with herbs that I bought last time is missing some key herb that was keeping the hot flashes in check before.

i didn't know either, until i looked it up!

right now it's 32F/0C here.... warmer than yesterday. and we got some nuisance snow late last night. *sigh*

I'd be running around outside in my autumn shoes in 0C. Mostly so I didn't wind up slipping, or ruining the uggy boots in a puddle.

That, and hot flashes seem to make me a little bit tougher to the chill. But I've always been the weirdo to wear flip flops over the last bits of snow in spring, or walk barefoot on COLD concrete during a rain. My feet have started talking to me about this most seriously at times.
