Happy Saturday everyone! How is everyone's weekend going? I've still got this awful cold, I'm supposed to sing with the choir tomorrow, I don't know if I will have my voice back.

What brand yarn are you using? Also I'm so envious of anyone that can make a granny square. Everytime I try it's never an actual square! It's because I need to work on keeping even tension, but it's literally the hardest thing. The only time I keep even tension is if it's too much tension and then I end up making an unbending pot holder...

Right now I'm using Hobby Lobby's yarn, called Darn Good Yarn. Yeah, tension is one of the hardest things to catch on to, and it's something that just takes time and practice. And granny squares take time to learn to. It's almost best to watch someone make then, rather than going on instructions. I could write out instructions, but it's really easier if you see how the square takes shape. Have you ever tried YouTube? I know you can learn how to knit from tuts on YouTube.

Yeah. YouTube is how I learned in general. That stated. I understand and can make a granny square, but because of poor tension, they never turn out right. And sometimes I just don't have the patience to practice with tension.

That stated, if we didn't have so many games going on, I could be finishing off one of the 12 projects I've got started. Lols.

LOL I'm working on hats now. On round looms. But it's hard to work on projects with yarn when you have a cat. And the dog keeps trying to steal my yarn balls.

I tend to get to work them when we get a lull in video game releases and I get a chance to binge tv or movies.

I mostly work on stuff in the afternoon when the animals are napping.

We have recently been playing video games non-stop when I get home. But luckily, we're taking Tuesdays and Thursdays off now that it's October and we're instead doing Monday, Wednesday, Friday scary game streams. So I may be able to pick up a project...If I can remember which pattern I was using.

I need to get some patterns, I tend to make boring stuff. LOL

I get the free ones everytime I go into a craft store. I just keep them in a binder using page protectors.

Yuppers! And a cheap 1.5 inch binder with cheap page protectors works perfect. I also bought dividers and sorted them by hats, blankets, shawls, pillows, and misc. It's pretty handy.

Wow that sounds perfect! I need to do something like that! Somewhere I have a blanket pattern that has all the stitches in it, but I have no idea where it is.

Yeah. A lot of the ones I'll probably never make, but it's nice to have the patterns if I want to try. It's also nice to have them sorted! I've also got a section for stuffies.

OMG that's hilarious! What craft store do you usually go to? Do you have like a Michaels there or a Jo-Ann Fabrics? I usually go to Hobby Lobby for my yarn. I don't really like Hobby Lobby's business practices but I do like their yarn.
