Total understand foot injuries they aren't fun. Look like others on here have a tendency to oversleep whether by accident or forgetting to turn on alarms too, including me. I just did it today too, it may have been something to do with having to wait for the timer(s) to cool down on some stuff on another site/game.
Had to rush down to the mail center to send some boxes out before they close I knew they close earlier on Saturday but I had the closing time an hour off.
To top it off it's hot where I am.

Going way back to this:
Despite me saying that I have issues with sending lovely dragons into battle (still do
) this has kept nagging away at the back of my mind, so today I finally had to download it to try it out
Rider_AshleighSpeaking of, has anyone heard of the game War Dragons? It's an app and I've gotten pretty into it.

Hehehe, how are you liking it? The lil dragons can breathe fire and cast out fireball attacks so at least they aren't defenseless. :3 I'm honestly addicted to the game.

I very easily get addicted to games, so I am quite deep into it already
Not quite getting what's up with this ongoing event, it gives me an exclamation mark on the "season" tab, suggesting that there's something I should be doing there, but I really don't know what? Also, it is of course somewhat annoying, as is the case with so many games, that it is limited what you can do as long as you're a free player. Only building one thing at a time and stuff. And I was very annoyed to suddenly be forced to join a team before being allowed to keep playing, that's the kind of decision I like taking my time with O_O (..and I'm a little annoyed at seeing avatars I'm interested in being rewards in previous events and stuff, gimme!
)
In general, if you have any useful hints for a new player, bring it on!

Haha, after you get settled in, it's not so bad. I got a free week of the premium awhile ago and the building two buildings at once was really helpful, but I've learned to manage with only one now.
The events can be confusing, I agree, especially since they don't exactly explain things to you. >.< Right now though, it's about training your dragons, so use food and you'll learn points. If it's giving you the exclamation point then that means you can go to the Season tab, where the dragons are, and collect stuff from the prize branches. There are dragons in the branches, so keep on collecting from the one you want and maybe you'll get the dragon before the season ends.
I'm sorry it forced you into a team. D: But your higher level teammates can really help you! When you go to attack a base, make sure to invite your teammates with the button. It gives you a lot more XP when there's someone else there, and also, this way, you can attack a really big base and then your high level teammate does the work.
Hmm, some tips... like I said, get your teammates help to level dragons quicker! Even if you end up taking down the base yourself, you'll still get bonus XP from them being there, and it's significant enough that you'll want to invite them no matter what. Make sure to keep on building and leveling your towers! If you don't have enough resources, your teammates can transfer you some.
Don't be afraid to ask questions and look up guides! There are lots of guides on how to build a good base, and also breeding guides.
This is getting long xD It's really just a learning process haha. You'll pick up things as you go.

Aha! I hadn't been clicking all the little icons on that season tab, but now that I did I finally found that claim button, no more annoying "what are you trying to tell me?!"-exclamation-mark!
The team I ended up on is tiny, not very high level at all, so I'm not sure how much help it'll really be. From the little list of choices I was given, I tried finding one that wasn't super competitive and demanding that you must do X of this and that every single day or be kicked. Now that I'm on this though, I feel guilty at the thought of leaving it and finding some other team to join, so I guess I'll have to keep hanging out here. Either I'll get used to it, or I'll find the courage to leave, we'll see
ETA: What level are you?

Mmm, don't be afraid to join another team! xD The team I'm currently on is like the third or fourth team I've tried, and I think I'll be here for awhile. Make sure you join a decently active team - if nobody's ever on to help you attack and give you that party bonus, then what are you on that team for? The one I'm on is pretty good, and the high-level members are happy to assist. You can also just fly with a high-level member when they send out the invite - gives the same effect on XP for your dragon.
I'd suggest you join my team
but I just checked and there's a minimum requirement of level 20. D: If you ever need a good team to join in the future though, we're still here!
I'm on level 27 ~

Yeah, having had more time to play since my last post, I've concluded that this team is definitely not very helpful at all
Having a really hard time finding a new team though, I wish there were more sorting choices. Browsing and browsing, and I'm just presented with an endless stream of low activity groups that I'm not interested in (and to make matters worse I'm picky with names too, I don't want to have a silly team name
)
I'd totally join your team if I could, but I haven't managed to claw my way to level 20 yet, naturally

I was playing War Dragons but me and another player got into a whole attack revenge attack back and forth for several minutes and I went - forget it..... but now I want to start playing again xD

I got into that with someone too, Ashean, but eventually I decided to just let it go as it was just getting annoying knowing they'd attack me again as soon as I'd had my revenge
Found myself a new team though! Certainly more active than my previous one, so it's looking better so far

Hooray for new team!
Yeah I hate when that happens xD I used to make it a point to bookmark anyone who attacked me so I could eventually get revenge on them but then it just stopped being as important as it used to be.
So like a couple days ago, one of our members started beefing with an officer of another team, that officer declared war on us, then that member quit the team. We won the war, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. We were #1 in our gold league, now we're moving to Platinum in a few days and I'm not sure we're gonna fare well there.

Hope you all are doing well!
Had a majorly long shift today. I'm dead tired, and am actually grateful I have a shorter shift tomorrow.
Also, it's been one month since I started drawing again, and I'm starting to get back into it. Woot!!

Hopefully it'll work out well in the new league as well! When you've done so well in the old one, it sounds like you've got a good starting point ^^
On the subject of wars.. Does it matter who you're battling against, really? I gather the point is trying to get as many flames as possible, which makes me worried about taking on people of higher levels as they'll naturally have stronger defenses and my dragons aren't THAT good yet. Will my flames count for the same even though they're against the lower level people of the opposite team? Really trying to help my team rather than hurting them, and I haven't stumbled across a really good guide on this yet, they're all just "yeah wars, do good"
@Royal: A shorter shift definitely sounds nice after that! And yay for getting back into drawing!

@Royal -Hey yourself! Doing ok here for a Thursday at work. I need to mow this weekend. We've had quite a bit of rain in the last week and the grass is going to be a foot tall if I don't. Don't over do it with that foot!

On the War Dragons I'm trying to figure out if being on a team is worth it....
I got back on the other day, and trying to do quests, upgrade dragons, do egg token missions, breed dragons...... oi

Is it actually giving you a choice, Ashean? I was just given a "yep, time to choose a team"-message that I couldn't close, and it popped up again if I restarted the game. Wouldn't leave me in peace until I was on a team ._.

I hit the little return arrow on my tablet and can get around it. But yeah it keeps popping up every time I open the app.
