Well, I put on SHOUT! and scrubbed it before the second wash, still not out. >_< It's sitting in one of my bathroom sinks in cold water until I can figure out wtf to do. The only reason I used SHOUT! is cuz that's what we have. I can't exactly go get any other kind as I can't drive, and mom's in the hospital... so. I looked up some things, but I'm afraid to do too much that it will change the color of my shirt (being my fave I dun wanna change the color, but I want the blood out!). I managed to get the blood out of my pants, but it was only one spot where the shirt moved around and got it in several spots before I noticed. >_<

FYI, it was my blood. I had a sore on my stomach and it opened and I didn't notice til it was all over (not like gushing or anything) the shirt and in the one spot on my pants... it was partially dry so I think that's why it is so hard to get out. *sigh*

Thanks for all the help... everything I have seen has said to let it sit in cold water so it has been since last night... might try wringing it out in a few and using more shout. then.... try washing AGAIN.

bummer. Biological stains can be such a pain in the neck. My mom and I used kids-n-pets when I was growing up a lot (I wet the bed for long enough that I just learned how to clean it up. It wasn't a regular thing but like sometimes you drink too much water before bed and pee happens) heck I did it in college once too. I don't know if those enzymatic cleaners still work once it's dried/soaked in though. Might be worth a try once your mom is out of the hospital and travel is possible.

I ended up just giving up, after 3 days and 4 washes and scrubbing etc etc, it's a night shirt. Oh well, shit happens, right?

Well, for next time you know you should not put it in warm water, and only use cold. Coz the blod will clot when getting warm. Sorry about your garment Zee.

I never did put it in warm water, Arizosa, so that isn't what caused the problem.

I assumed it was hot coz I read that you put it in the washer? And at least here cold in the washer means 30 celcius, which is still hot. Cold should be tap cold in this case. Just trying to explain my reasoning, or I may not have read your posts correctly, in which case I appologize. I've also heard that salt can drag the blood out when it's wet. Never tried that solution myself though. But still, it feels meh when a garment you like can't be worn when you wish any longer.

Is it one of those that you can't buy a new one of either?

We only wash our stuff in "Cold/Cold" unless it's called for otherwise. Which is actually the temp you get when you first turn on your faucet, so it's cold water. ^^ It doesn't help I just assume that is how everyone's is, and they do the same thing.

Yeah, it can't be re-bought because hell I think this shirt is like 5 yrs old? LOL They don't seem to make them like this anymore It's crazy that it's just a plain shirt, nothing on it (but the blood now of course) and it's hard to find them long like this anymore. I'm rather tall, so having a shirt the size for normal height woman barely comes to the top of my jeans and I can't stand them like that.

I feel with you on the shirt length - I don't know why they seem to think every woman wants to walk around with a bare midriff? Because that's how most shirts end up after only a few movements after dressing.

Yes, exactly! That is why I actually usually end up buying men's t-shirts. >_< Hell, even half of those end up short after a wash so I never dry my shirts so they don't shrink UP... not about shrinking any other way. >.> GRR!

I got an idea Weezee! You could put nice stamps you like on the shirt, on the stain, or incorporate the bloodstain in a nice patterns or something? I know that there are stamps you can get that you iron on and then sew in the edges so they don't fall off. Maybe you can do that and then you can still wear it??? *xed fingers*

That is a cute idea, and I'd do it if things weren't stressful right now. Maybe when I have some unstressful time I will cuz I have some of those patches.

The patches a super good idea. And YES and even when my shirts are long enough a couple of my jackets somehow push the shirts up thus flashing the world my lower back while biking to work. Which is non-ideal in the first place but is even worse when it's cold. (and I have a super short torso so if I'm having problems that does not bode well for clothing on normal people)

LOL, I'm not real sure if my torso is short or long or normal.... I just know that I'm between 5'9" & 5'10" and I normally have to get "tall" even in men shirts for them to be what I really like to wear... but I can get "regular" sometimes in jeans... so I dunno... I never really thought about it? LOL

I only know the torso length thing because when I measured myself to buy a swimsuit online (really the only way to find a nice one piece that actually covers things during the season/ability to drive places (nonexistent) I had at the time I needed one) I was Ò€œpetiteÒ€ which was bewildering to me having spent years buying extra tall pants.

Some manufacturers of clothing seem to use different size tables than others. E.g. Fruit of the Loom shirts are usually rather large.
