I'm sorry weezee. This pandemic is making me crazy. I'm so afraid of catching it.

I totally get that, that's why I am 'stuck'.

*flails* So I'm like totally bored... waiting... I want to do STUFF... even if it's just have a few friends over to play cards. I can not wait til things get somewhat back to normal.

I've been at home all day, every day, and while I did that a lot before, it was never so constant x.x At least I don't live in a city, so I can go out for a walk in our neighborhood and not run much chance of running into anyone!

In the mean time, I've managed to find new (or return to old!) places to romp while we wait for life to return to semi-normal. I don't think it's going away but certainly I can hope we get vaccines soon!

Vaccine would be awesome ... *sighs*

Yeah, I'm one of those high risk people, cannot wait for a vaccine!

I'm asthmatic and diabetic, so while I'm not at any greater risk of contracting it, if I do, it'll be pretty bad, from what I understand.

In the meantime, could someone catch me up to speed on these custom forum titles I see? I assume they were part of the Kickstarter or are a donor perk?

I believe some of them were for donators and some were from Kickstarter. The gradient ones are for staff.
I have type II diabetes and asthma as well, plus I also take immune suppressing drugs for Rheumatoid Arthritis. And fortunately or unfortunately, my roommate works in a grocery store. Good because we still have her income, bad because she's so exposed to people every day.

Oh boy, my heart goes out to you both! Hopefully she's able to stay as safe as she can, I know some grocery stores have been really good about implementing safety measures for their employees. One of my best friends is an inactive RN, and they've been hounding her about getting emergency re-certified to address the need for nurses during the pandemic. Unfortunately, she's got several chronic illnesses herself that make it difficult for her to be in stressful situations, and her husband is a terminal cancer patient with a suppressed immune system thanks to treatment, so...I'm really hoping they don't actually call on her anytime soon OTL

Besides working, I usually spent my time at home, and even during the summer I spent most of it home. I love being home, but I am going nuts not having the option to go play cards, go spend some time with my aunt or my friend that's just down the road.... they are both in the "high risk" part of it all, as is my mom, so I can't risk going either place. It's so not cool. Hopefully when the rain stops next week (hoping?!) I'll be able to go out and work in the yard... may make it not seem so bad.

As for the other titles, if you mean like with mine how it says "fantabulous" in front of my name and how it says "The Purple Lady" a few lines down... those were both from the Kickstarters. You can still become a donor and get the teal name, or become staff and get a gradient.

I've been going out for walks every other day or so, that does help. I'm lucky in that I'm an introvert, so I'm not missing out a whole ton on in-person time with people, but at the same time I might murder my family because they're the only people I see day in, day out. We lost our cat to kidney failure back in January, so we don't even have him as a distraction!

I think I'll hold off on trying to apply for a staff position for now Freshly returned doesn't seem like a good time to be promising I'll stick around! I've also got a couple other moderator positions, one for an ARPG on dA and one for a different forum game, so alas, I probably should be keeping an eye on my time commitments! I am very much an introvert myself, but the few friends I have from work (the only place I really go other than to like my aunts or camping) I really am missing seeing... chatting with etc. Some days it's not hard to just stay home and do nothing, but there are others were I just want to go do SOMETHING or have the friends/family over for cards (we're a big game family), but it's just my mom and I. We did put a few puzzles together, but that only goes for so long before that is even boring. I want to do art, but I need to be inspired and I haven't been lately. I am very sorry to hear about your cat, I have 2 pups that keep me busy. Even tho one is supposed to be my mom's they both are very much attached to my hip. They will stay in bed with me (unless Mom's letting them out to potty) for as long as I am there. When I'm in here (my office) they will be in here with me as long as I am, rn they are both on the pillow bed I made for them at my feet.

And I totally get not applying for staff, I was just giving you an option. There are art positions that are a lot more lenient then say a mod position would be, but yes, I get not giving too much up.

As you know, (I think?) I was "site elf" on Aywas... I am no longer, and really shouldn't have been to start with, but this place was kind of going slow at the time so I got bored. It's still not REAL fast here, but I definitely have more commitments here than I used to, and I much prefer this place over Aywas, so it is a good thing they kicked me off the team.

And I just realized I was wrong, donors are blue, not teal.

I know what you mean—I was like "Oh, I'll get so much writing done!" and then...I didn't. It's so hard to do anything when that's...all you can really do, I guess? We're definitely not alone T_T

Thank you, it was...quite sudden, and he was the first and only cat that I remember not being put to sleep by our vet. I actually found him on the kitchen floor when I came home, and nobody else was home. Your pups sound so cute, Chester used to follow us around the house too, unless he was too comfy

This probably was shortly before That Time, unless I'm thinking of someone else...To be honest, some of what I still hear about Aywas from a user on FR and from stalking the AywasConfessions tumblr (bad for my stress levels, so I don't do it often lol), it's really gone downhill in terms of activity and also gotten apparently a lot more toxic, which is unfortunate. It could be that I'm only seeing the complaints, though. I'm glad you're here, though! It almost feels like UniFaction again with all the familiar faces and the lovely, large avatars that you can actually see details on! totally not shading the tiny Aywas HAs at all lol

Ah, well. Blue, teal, they're all pretty! I know I bought some premium stuff in the past, I shall have to consider it again! Do you know Lucy's stance on advertisements? That could help offset some of the costs for her, I read in another thread that she's paying for everything out of pocket at the moment, although it was a pretty old thread.

Yeah, I did get quite a bit done at first, but it's gotten harder to be motivated. Bleh!

It doesn't matter if they are straight up asleep when I get up... even to go pee!!! they get up and follow me. ONLY time that isn't true is when we're in bed, they know I'm coming right back, and still sometimes they follow then too.

If you look at the staff positions threads, what you're good at IS what we're looking for. We have one JUST for markings/gene making, here. No pressure, just so you know. =)

Yes, the bigger avatars is wonderful, I can hardly even change my avatar on aywas, it's just bleh. I tried getting into the whole HA scene with making HA stuff, but the FA's here are soooo much better. And all the colors!!!

I am not sure on advertising, I think her and I talked about it before (but I could be mistaken and it been with the UF people), but I really don't remember what she thought, and yes, she is paying for everything right now unless she gets donations so people can get DS to buy the DS items.

Ooh, that is tempting. I shall have to give it a good think! Lucy once hired me to do colors for some old DDW/Origins pets but unfortunately my computer had a tantrum and I lost almost everything except stuff I'd had backed up on a different drive. It hasn't happened since, though, so fingers crossed lol

The money aspect of custom HA items was annoying too, like, the ones you could get from the site weren't nearly as pretty as what we have here, so of course people had to pay to get nice-looking items for their HAs.

Well, hopefully if she looks into putting in advertisements she can get a reputable service that doesn't let loud/flashy/annoying ads through! FR has that problem a lot and I've had to enable Ad Blocker on there, which is unfortunate!

Edit: Oh no, I took a look at the Staff Positions forum and there's a writing position!!

Yup, they are sisters. We went looking for one pup, and when there were only the 2 of them left, I couldn't leave the one alone. :3 I'm very very happy we didn't because I'm not so sure she would have made it if we had left her.

I will bring up the advertising to her, see what she comes up with. =)

Oh? I had forgotten about the writing position, probably because I can't write to save my life. If that IS something you are interested in tho, more so than art, go for it. That one is something Lucy has control over, my stuff is art only.
