Aww, that's so sweet! I'm so glad you ended up taking them both. That happened when we first got Chester—it was a family who were moving to an apartment that didn't allow pets, and they had three total cats, one of whom they didn't want to adopt out because she was so old and had so many medical conditions. We went for Java, who ended up being "my" cat, and ended up taking Chester too! I'm not sure that was a kindness, though, Java was always very bossy and he definitely got bolder after she died.

Well, Abby, the one we might not have gotten because she was very backward when we went ended up having pneumonia, as did her father. He ended up dying from it because they didn't have the money to take him to the vet, and we spent quite a bit on her to get her better, she still has a cough now and then, but she's doing really good. :3 Abby is still quite shy around new people, but she does much better with us around... and depending on the person. :3 Kelbee on the other hand... my goodness she'll lick you to death if you let her. xD She loves everyone and is as healthy as can be.

Oh no, that's so sad ;A; I'm glad you were able to get Abby all healed up! That's one of the reasons I don't think I can have a pet of my own anytime soon, I have no way of affording any emergency treatment and all that. Also no income at all at the moment, since I haven't been able to snag a job yet. Surprise surprise, having no internship experience makes me not an ideal candidate. Sigh...back to applying to anything I remotely qualify for tomorrow, something's got to stick eventually, right?

Yes, good luck with that. I have a job, but rn I'm off because of the pandemic. I won't go back to work until at least sometime the first of August. Thankfully I'm still getting my base pay until the normal end of the school year or we'd be in trouble. However, honestly, I'd rather be working. I actually really was enjoying my work this year. I got a new driver and we get along (after the first few days that is) really well. Was the first year I didn't dread going to work nearly at all.

Oh, I see! I never rode in a bus with an attendant, so I forgot that was a thing. A combination of being on a high schoolers' bus headed out beyond the school's boundary and not riding a bus until I was in 7th grade, I think! I was literally the last stop dropped off on my routes, since I wasn't technically supposed to be going to the school I was at.

I'm sure bigger cities have attendants for other reasons, but where I'm from it's for special needs students. Those that need extra help getting on and off, and being 'OK' during the bus ride. SO I can see where you wouldn't know anything about attendants on the bus.

Ah, that makes sense! I was thinking for younger kinds, they are...chaos. I am terrified of elementary school students grades four and below

LOL! I can see some buses needing help with those kids. I actually work with preschool and intermediate/junior high kids.... at least that's what I was doing, not sure if that is how it will be next year with all the time changes they are working on.

Hopefully things settle down a little, a simulation run by one of the professors at my alma mater showed that the peak should be around late June, which is a decently flat curve, I suppose. The further away the peak is, the better off we all are, but it does feel like forever while we wait T_T

LOL! I had my mom cut mine, she usually does anyway. I cut hers too. I don't think I did too bad of a job. It almost looked like how she has it done in the salon. She's got short hair so it's not just a simple cut off the ends kinda thing. Mine is long and curly so I don't care if it is straight... won't be when it curls up anyway.

I used to get perms when I was younger too, the really big rollers, so it would relax my curls. I even straightened my hair with a clothes iron once (omg never do that) cuz it was how my friend used to do hers when I was like 8 or so (she was my neighbor and much older). Looked awesome when I got it done, but after I washed it... omg you could smell that I REALLY burnt it for days and days after. I have a friend that gave me a straightening iron a few years ago and I tried it... but it takes way too long with how curly and THICK my hair is. >_<

I think one of the first things I'm gonna do once all my red is gone will be to get a loose perm. I'm kind of tired of stick straight hair
