How have you been?

@Kijo I had a few really rough days with joint pain, but my doc gave me some prednisone, and I feel like a new person. I hope it hangs around after I'm done with the pills.

Uggghhh, Prednisone! That's one that I only take on days when the alternative is not getting out of bed 😣 It helps with the arthritis but it leaves me feeling all out of whack.

@FireLilly yeah it's both a great and a bad drug. Can cause severe osteoporosis if taken too long, but boy does it make a difference with my arthritis!

Happy Tuesday everyone! What's everyone doing today?
I have to go to the ortho surgeon about my knee today. Definitely need x-rays. I think it's too early for surgery, but I might be getting a cortisone shot in my knee *shudders* I hate those things, but they really do help.

Happy hump day! Well the xrays showed that I have bone on bone at the joint, and bone spurs under my kneecap. Only thing that will fix it is surgery. We're gonna try PT, but I've really never had good results with that. I have to wait till August to have the surgery because my roommate is having surgery on the 9th of July and I need to be able to take care of her!
Other than that, things are good! Hope everyone has a great day!

Howdy Aleah! Is the wait till August just because of your roomie, or is it also to see if p.t. makes any difference?

@FireLilly it's a little bit of both. Plus I just need some time to process it all! When I had my right one done , I had months of pain before I finally had the surgery. This one has just started hurting so I'm not as motivated to have the surgery this time as I was last time.
