while i have two jobs, one is a desk job Mon-Thurs for 6 hours; the other is retail Fri-Sun for anywhere between 4 and 6 hours. i do a bit of reading at meals, and then I crochet at night. (and then I fall asleep at my computer for a little bit between like 10:30 and 11 at night. it's kinda funny)

I do too, @trystan . That's why it's so weird. And I envy you guys your ability to just do stuff. This is an easy job, once a week. But it's all the sounds and people going past that fries my senses. Lord willing, if I stick with it I'll get less sensitive.

I found a couple of articles on autism in women that I wish I'd found when I was seeing the psychiatrist who still went by old "knowledge" about Autism. Reading those articles, I kept seeing myself. And they even said (unlike many articles I've seen, which seem to think it's either or) that autism can exist with other conditions, and that it can cause other conditions.

I'll have figured myself out yet.

@Yeladim The way my old install had been going, the longer I played, the more glitched the game data became - first I wouldn't be able to load old save files, then the text from in-game books and quest descriptions would go missing, I'd start losing conversation options with NPCs, and finally entire chunks of terrain would disappear. I could save and quit and restart the game and have it work properly for a while, but inevitably it would all start again. When it started happening, it took an hour or two of play time before things started going sideways, but recently it was starting within a minute or less and playing for a solid hour was damn near impossible.

@Demyx. Ugh. That sounds terrible and really frustrating. Here is hoping the reinstall lets you play another 5,000 hours before it starts glitching again.

Tam - my younger daughter (she's 19!!) is studying psychology in college (Pitt), and she also has friends who are on the autism spectrum.... she thinks that my older daughter might be on the spectrum somewhere.... but autism is rarely diagnosed in girls/women. i haven't had a chance to do all the research, but it's entirely possible.

Yeah, @trystan. One lady in one of the articles had five different diagnoses before someone finally realized that she had Autism. I'm not officially diagnosed myself. The psychiatrist I'd seen only wanted to diagnose the most obvious thing, so that I could get AISH (income for the handicapped). I know I have CPTSD, but I know I've got too many other odd quirks going on for that to be all of it.

Huh?!? The elastic turned yellow?
Never heard of that before.

yeah, that's new for me too....elastic can lose its stretchyness over time... but maybe if it DID get yellow, it would be after many many (75?) years?

I think the yellow elastic might have had something to do with the tiny bit of Pinesol I put into the doll's bath water to try and cut the fake baby powder stench they had on her.

Also, someone got killed in the parking lot here yesterday.
