well, i bought an enamel pin from at etsy shop based in Australia. the price of the pin was the same as the cost of the shipping! :O

The shipping in CAN dollars came to OVER A HUNDRED DOLLARS. What is the USPS thinking of? That's over double what it used to cost.

First I find out that the Alberta government has decided that nobody's allowed into places like malls and stuff unless they can show proof they're vaccinated. Then I get online and I find ALL my bookmarks gone, and all the backups I'm sure I made gone except an old one. I can't even remember the name of the horse game I've been playing, and it's not in the bookmarks. *headdesk*

Today I got stuck up. Pfizer. I'm still so scared of the whole deal that the stress headache hasn't gone away. But it was kind of funny. I went marching in resolutely, heading for the back of Shopper's Drugmart, and I see Cobb the Beanie Boo spider on the shelf for five dollars. See Tam pull a hard U-turn to buy that baby before facing the needle. ...Yes, I did already have another doll with me.

i use chrome... on my chromebook i routinely delete my browsing history because all those entries take up space on the wimpy hard drive, but I've gotten links back that way if they're still in my browsing history. i have to remember to save all my bookmarks before I get a new Chromebook... i have lots of bookmarks!

but you do what you gotta do. hubby hates needles and he was actually the second of us (me, hubby, 2 daughters) to get the vaccine back in April. i'd gotten my first dose in march)

It's not even the needles. I'm scared of the VACCINE. It's not been tested enough because of lack of time, and... buk buk buk.

I can't find my backup drive to save all my files. Tore the place apart this morning looking for it. Okay, it wasn't morning, because of the shot I slept til noon. LOL But the earlier part of my day!

so the thing is, covid is the new kid on the block, but the vaccines are safe, and everyone I know who's vaccinated hasn't had an issue except for initial side effects (which weren't all that severe). and, while i'd heard that the mRNA vaccine technology had been around for many many years, a quickie google search gave me an article from Nature from last week that scientists had been working on mRNA tech since 1987. and in all seriousness, that's been 34 years. with covid and it's surrounding science and vaccines, we're seeing it all unfold in real-time. and sure, it may seem like "It's not been tested enough because of lack of time"....but scientists know what they've been working on for the past many many (34) years. i trust the vaccine.

Yes, but I freak out and cry from fright when someone in a position of trust wants to buy me a new cellphone. heh

...And then walk into situations that scare the heck out of many people.
