I think it was something called The Weekend.
It was really hot in town, 90+ degrees, and 72 in the mountains.
Plus apple pie.

Mermaid is finished! Here's the review I gave the pattern creator.

I'm wearing the mermaid right now, and she feels really
comforting, as though I've got a hug. It's an intuitive pattern with
a fun level of challenge, and I loved seeing how she took form. It
was like watching someone do a speed draw. The hardest part for me
was doing her hair, because some of my joints started to ache, but the
result is so lovely. I would rate the finished scarf very high on the
list of things that help me cope with the world, because of that
feeling of a hug, because the scarf is warm and soft, and because it
provides the sort of movement that I find very relaxing and cathartic.

And then today I get home from work, and find a notice and a picture of a parcel at my door. Which was not there when I got home. It was a vintage doll that I had bought to replace one I'd had before.

That's terrible. I hope your package shows up somehow, and Hurray! for finishing your outfit. Such a sense of accomplishment and add to that, that is fits so nicely, brava!

So yesterday I put a sign on my apartment door, asking for the doll to be returned. Today someone stole the sign.

I love the mermaid scarf, yesterday I finished a small mermaid pouch that is based loosely on the scarf. I hope to sell the pouch to someone to use for a purse. Yesterday when I was at work I explained to a young lady customer that you stick your phone and your stuff in it, and then hug it like a dolly. She looked down at where her phone was being dolly hugged and goes, "Yup." like it makes perfect sense.

Yup. Ganked the sign right off. I'm starting to wish I knew how to make stink bombs, or how to put a hidden camera in a long hallway of doors.

I suppose a purse you hug is what they call a clutch purse.

I guess if I stay up too late and try to do things, my eyes are bothered. usually they're all right. maybe I'm just weird

I have a special pair of glasses for the computer, or I'd really be in trouble. Which makes three prescriptions for me, computer, everyday seeing, and close work. I've got the last two in bifocals.

Nooooo. Double vision tends to make one half as productive. LOL

yeah, my younger daughter has a pair of glasses to help with the computer eye strain.

Aww. I need to get mine updated, but even though I'm not afraid of the virus, right now it's manners to stay away from people, so I didn't want to get close to the eye doctor and pretended I didn't get the thing calling me in for an eye checkup.

So I carried the giant bunny and wore the giant breast cancer awareness ribbon scarf, and told people I'd been shrunk. Several people thought it was a great costume, and one wanted a picture.
