@Yeladim , yes. I seem to have gotten through this one with minimal trouble. I didn't have any choice on getting the vaccine or the booster, though. Alberta's made it law that you have to have proof of vaxx if you want to go to some of the places that I need to go, like craft fairs/sales.

I got a new doll today. She was bought with a gift certificate that Amazon gave me to make up for a package that got damaged in transit and returned without my ever seeing it. She's a little fake plastic BJD from China, with brown hair and big brown eyes.

that and i hate being sick too.

I don't know why I always make my avatar look so anxious. The look just suits him.

most of the time i do associate the avatar a little bit with maybe what the person might look a bit like in real life? i dunno.

I've noticed that stuff from Europe often comes quickly. I remember getting a doll kit from England surprisingly quickly during the worst of the pandemic lock down. And a doll from France also surprised me.

It took 7 days to get a check from Los Angeles to San Diego! Less than 200 miles.

oof that's rough. my older daughter gets mail here, even though her home base is my inlaws. she asked me to mail her something, so i took it to the post office yesterday, and it says the estimated day to get there is monday, so that's not toooooo bad. in Before YKW* Messed up the Post Office Times, though, it would have been there tomorrow. my inlaws are only like 50ish miles away.

I remember, years ago, finding out that mailing parcels took less time to arrive from here to the States than from Canada to Canada. I don't know if that's the case anymore, though.

yep, Louis DeJoy is the You Know Who. he's the postmaster general. they're approved by a post office board of directors, and the majority of them are trumpists. also, DeJoy's mission is to SLOW the mail. yeesh. wtf?
