@Yeladim , I'm scared of the ocean, even though I have no memory of ever seeing it.

The ocean is VERY big, the Pacific especially, but is can be so calming, at least from the shore. I am very susceptible to motion sickness, so being on the water is rarely a good thing for me.

I hate moving. Not the moving itself, but the packing and unpacking. The last time I moved we had things in boxes for at least 5 years. Hopefully you're moving to a nicer space.

And sorry everyone for being scarce recently. Work has been so busy that I haven't been able to check in even during my break time.

Yeah, I'm sitting amid heaps of things that I haven't got a space for yet, because I was living out of boxes in the old place, and here I want to have the place actually look like a North American modest income living space is supposed to look. I manage to get a few more things put away every day, but I know I'll need help. And more shelves and storage cubes.

The move was from a constantly under thread of bedbugs subsidized studio across the alley from a minimum security women's prison, populated right across from me, to one side of the one across from me, and below me by men prone to ranting and screaming, and on the other side of the one across from me by an otherwise inoffensive woman who got hurt feelings every time I asked her to turn down her TV or music. The women's prison had the most horrible powwows I ever heard (I'm very sensitive to some sounds, including that of a drum being beaten monotonously and as hard as the beater can hit). I have moved to a one bedroom and office river valley view condo rented out by a lady I know from work. No bedbugs, no prison, much fewer pigeons, and instead of the mentally ill yelling there's some young woman making a racket through the radiator, and instead of a mastiff barking in the night so the whole neighbour hood can hear it, there's some little ill trained flat faced dog that freaks out every time someone walks by in the hall (but I can't hear it when the door's shut.

Obviously, it's not like I have video footage of myself falling. But that is the kind of damage you get from falling full force onto a VERY rough sidewalk.

Also need for the neighbours to keep their loud music to themselves until after nine o'clock, but I'll survive. Lord willing.

Ugh. Striking truckers were blocking traffic and making the whole city crazy today, and then they made a traffic jam right by where I live, continually letting off their horns. And a man with mental health issues went totally mad and broke a window connected to the shop of one of the most inoffensive and helpful, kindly ladies in the market.

The poor lady with the broken window in her shop is very sad and shaken. Her brand new sign that she was so proud of was damaged by the glass.

And then yesterday I had a video call connected to a job I'd agreed to do, and the neighbours that I hear in the radiator decided to play Slim Shady or some such revolting notmusic so loudly that I couldn't even hear the guys talking on the call, and the sound indicator on my picture on the call was showing that it was picking up the music. That was at 4 my time. Then, when night came they once more did the thing where they get louder the later it gets, to the point of whooping and yahooing and talking so I could hear every word clearly, mixed in with periods of music and what sounded like a blender. It's still better here than at the last place, but that's nuts. Even the young friends who came to measure the little window for a curtain heard them yesterday afternoon. But I still can't figure out where the sound is coming from!

Craziest of all was the party they had last night til past three o'clock. So loud that I could hear it past full volume white noise video. After awhile the white noise started to hurt. And when I called through the radiator to turn it down, I got cussed and called rude. Music, cussing, tapping, vacuuming (with even louder music and singing aloud). So weird.

So was watching graders and pilot trucks coming down the road and trying to figure just WHAT those blinking lights were ON.

sounds like the parties needs to be the subject of a conversation with you and the landlord?

Oh, they have been. She's told me the next time they do that to call her, and she will come over and listen to it, and then lodge a complaint with the building management.

Got groceries today! Rice and milk are here again, yayyyyyy. So is a squoshy bath mat.

Oh, and I showed my honorary sister Carol the Rapunzel you made me, and she thought that the dress was very true to the original, and she liked it and liked the doll.
