in other news... i'm off work today, so i did my adulting in the morning, and now i can goof off until tonight when i have to make dinner. :fweee!:

@Yeladim , my landlady owns this condo and rents it to me. She wants me to tell her about excess noise, but she's also very busy, and lives all the way across the city. Yeah, this city has noise bylaws too, but these people don't seem to care. Since nothing I've tried has managed to prove that they're making the noise, or even to figure out where the heck they live in the building (the noise is coming through the radiator), I've decided to suck it up. I've survived bedbugs at the other place, I can survive this, Lord willing.

Having to remake my avatars, and having the avatars no longer showing the mood for my posts, on the other hand, might very well put me into terminal snitfit.

i didn't fix anything, but i did have some floors to sweep and swiffer.

i made tater tot casserole - it's ground beef mixed with whatever you'd like - the recipe calls for just cream of mushroom soup, but i add some green beans. then you put that in a pan, topped with a layer of tater tots, and then cover it with cheese and bake it until it's yummy

Ahhhh. Have you ever tried pizza fish?

That's where you take a cheap fillet of some white fish, and put your pizza toppings on it. I've been told it tastes good.

huh, interesting. i have not tried that. I'm not really a big fish person, though. i like lox - smoked salmon. and a good tuna salad. but that's really it.

on another forum, we were chatting about what was for dinner, and the person said they were having leftover tater tot casserole. so i asked "what, other than tater tots, is in that?" and when i didn't get an answer, i googled it.

also, i had to buy a new computer mouse because the scroll wheel on the other one stopped rolling..... i wonder if my cats would like the old one?

Okay, most of yesterday wasn't too bad, and I spent most of today without painkiller and functioning well. But just now I was seeing lights like whoa, and my head felt like someone was kicking on it from the inside. Now I'm really groggy and dull headed.

Migraine is weird.

It's even worse when the migraine's still there, but doesn't actually hurt. It's like trying to think through concrete. I had to go someplace today, and what with the wind, the discomfort in my feet from not being able to wear the warmer footgear, and the noise of a passing fire truck and of the place where I was going, my brain was trying its hardest to shut down, retreat, and put me to sleep.

How were you guys' days? Sorry for talking so much about me.

i had a friend over this afternoon - we haven't seen each other in person since the end of 2019! she asked me (and gave me money) to make her a blanket, and she came over to get it today, and we went to the comic book store near me and got lunch.... it was a good day.

Today started out good. I was working a paying shift at the Persian Empire Pastry booth. But then the Native Artist's collective started drumming. And they kept it up intermittently (and LOUDSLY) throughout the WHOLE day. God helped me not to panic, but each beat felt like a blow to my senses that made my perception staticky. I commented to a couple people that autism is my super power, and drumming is kryptonite.

i didn't find anything at the comic book store, but i suspect I'll be finishing up all my Sandman books very soon!

*thinks of 'Enter Sandman'* Someone once nearly dropped a Neil Gaiman collection on my head at the bookstore.
