I was looking at dragon patterns. But I don't need any for me personally. I've already got a little feathered wyrm, and there's a Derpy sister coming my way sometime soon. I got both for the cuteness, being more a fantasy horse person (unicorn, winged horse, slepnir, hippocampus, etc). I also found a Canadian who does 3D printing and is always careful to get the permission of the pattern maker, so I asked him if he could make a little robot I've been yearning for for awhile. I've also asked a lady who makes cute flat felt dolls if she can make me a turnip that looks like a radlad (from Ooblets). I don't want to copy someone's work without permission, and I like turnips better than radishes anyway. So good mushed up with some oil and salt, and the greens are so lovely dumped in the fry pan and then served with a bit of lemon juice and salt.

Finally did two things I've been putting off for way too long: filing for bankruptcy and starting that scarf I mentioned earlier.

I made most of another mushroom at work today. And I think I managed to skip the sensory overload, though my eyes are starting to cuss at me for crocheting for so long. lol I finished the mushroom after I got home, except for her eyes. Gotta ask her mom what mood the mushi baby is in before I can make those. I also made a yellow crochet ball into a smily emogi. And didn't realize it was an emogi til I gave it to someone.

Got another casual job at the farmers' market. Was offered pay, but evinced little interest in it. I'll be sitting and sewing another crocheting lady's stuff together, because she's got a backlog of stuff that needs it, and she hates that part of the job. Also ran into two more people there who want mushirooms. And I got my first whiff or first remembered whiff of Chinese five spice powder. It smells good. Like, not nommy but where has this beautiful scent been all my life and watch me stick the sample packet in my mask to make my world smell good.

i'm not a fan of sewing crochet things together, which is why - when it's needed - I put it together as I go, whether it's a doll or a blanket. the thing I love about the doll I made you, tam - is that there is NO sewing! it's all crocheted together. i love that one because of that. and it's cute and customizable too

I love the mushroom sprite pattern because it's also no sew. The only seam is joining the cap to the body, and that's crochet. When it's my own projects, sewing can drive me nuts, which is why I'm giving my 'Amigrumi in the Garden' pattern book to another crocheter I know. But sewing some clothes together for someone else will probably actually be something like putting a puzzle together for me. I shouldn't mind it too badly, Lord willing. I took the job, it was the pay I didn't have too much interest in. I might be paid in goods, like with the job I already have.

Speaking o the mushroom pattern, I was working on one of the other sizes today, and man was my counting off. I'm glad it's easy for me to make things look right even when I can't count my way out of a wet paper bag.
